The Opportunity

Opportunity Overview

The Opportunity
First of it's kind, ground-breaking Regenerative Healthcare Facility.

The Simplr Medika International (SMI) Facility will provide advanced regenerative health solutions that are not readily available and accessible to those most in need – in most countries – due to lagging and/or constraining regulatory environments. All being conducted by highly trained and recognised medical practitioners. Japan’s regulations concerning regenerative cell therapy options, however, are forward-thinking and leading the world in this regard. Within the Sanur SEZ, SMI has the opportunity to transfer the regulatory allowances granted in Japan to Bali, making these healthcare options more easily accessible and available to Indonesians, and medical tourists the world over.

World's most advanced regenerative medicine technologies & treatments.

Until recently the only solution for many degenerative and age-related conditions was symptom management followed eventually by lifelong medication and/or surgery. Meanwhile, the consequences and the effects of these conditions have a devastating effect on quality of life. The SMI Facility offers the latest, most scientifically advanced, regenerative medicine options for many chronic, debilitating, painful and life-restrictive medical conditions. Immune-cell therapy for cancer patients using advanced Japanese technology is one such option. The facility’s capabilities will also include the latest applications of stem cells and regenerative medicine techniques treating chronic illnesses and degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis, post-stroke conditions and diabetes, amongst others. These innovative, next-generation medical treatment options are being made available today to help those who are suffering live easier, do more, and improve their overall quality of life - by harnessing the extraordinary and natural healing potential of each patient's own cells.

Bali's highly incentivised health SEZ set to capture USD $6.5B/yr.

In Sanur, Bali, a 41-hectare health special economic zone is being constructed as an Indonesian national strategic priority, on schedule for first operations to commence in the first quarter of 2024. The zone is designed to meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s directive to provide Indonesian people with access to superior domestic health services; currently around two million Indonesians seek treatment abroad, spending Rp97.5 trillion (US$6.5bn) every year. Foreign companies are being encouraged to invest in the SEZ with incentives such as: permission for foreign staff to work within the zone, tax concessions, and permission to operate under home-country operational licenses and conditions. Thus, technologies that were once exclusive to Japanese health consumers will now be available in Bali.

JV between Australian, Japanese and Indonesian industry leaders, backed by the Australian and Indonesian Govts.

The facility will be established by Australian company Simplr International, through a Joint Venture with technical expertise delivered by Bioaccell and partnering associates from Japan, and SingMedic from Indonesia who hold much experience in medical tourism management. The three parties will operate as PT SMI, an incorporated business under Indonesian regulations. Simplr has attracted Australian Government support to the venture through the Katalis program, which will provide over AUD700K towards the preparation of the facility. Simplr is raising capital to develop the facility and has established a unit trust through which sophisticated and wholesale investors can invest in this ground-breaking area of regenerative medicine.
